Values-based education that gives children the chance to achieve their potential
The University of Winchester has been a leading institution in delivering values-based education for 175 years. We are an Outstanding provider of teacher education and have a strong track record of raising aspiration among young people. The University already has a strong partnership with many schools and academy sponsorship was a natural development of our commitment to education, social justice, and to our community.
The University of Winchester was approved as an academy sponsor by the Department of Education in 2014. The University of Winchester Academy Trust has been set up to run our academies. Our first academies will be the new-build Barton Farm Academy in Winchester and a new primary academy at the Stoneham Park development in Eastleigh.
