Our Headteacher Group comprises of all the School Leaders from across our Schools. This group will expand to include new leaders as other schools join our Trust. Leaders collaborate to support the Executive Leadership Team to drive school improvement, drawing on the unique strengths and interests of all participants.

Jayne Fahey
I am the Headteacher for Awbridge Primary School, having previously been a senior leader at Halterworth Primary School. I also lead the Halterworth Training School Partnership which involves recruiting and training the next generation of teachers through our School Direct Programme with Winchester University. I am also delighted to facilitate the Early Career Teacher programme for the Capita/University of Birmingham programme.

I am the Headteacher for Wellow Primary and Co-Leader of Awbridge Primary School with Jayne Fahey. As part of the Headteacher Group of UWinAT, I work with other leaders to focus on school improvement projects across our five schools which ensure the outcomes for our pupils is strong and continually improving.

Nicola WellsExecutive Headteacher
Nicola Wells
I am Nicola Wells, Executive Headteacher for Barton Farm Primary and Stoneham Park Primary Schools in Winchester and Eastleigh, respectively. I led the project to open these two new schools in 2020 on behalf of the University of Winchester Academy Trust. From September 2023 I am also Co Executive Leader for our Multi Academy Trust with responsibilities for Finance and Trust Development and Growth.I have previously been part of the senior leadership teams in a range of schools, both in the UK and overseas. Prior to joining UWINAT I led a Teaching School and set up a school centred initial teacher training programme (SCITT). Before joining the teaching profession, I worked for several years in corporate banking. -

Julie Bray
Julie Bray is the Headteacher of Halterworth Primary and commenced her role in September 2023. She is responsible for the overall strategic direction and success of this school. She is also the Co-Exec Leader for Teacher Development & SEND for our Multi Academy Trust with The University of Winchester (UWinAT). Julie is supported by a strong leadership team which has been restructured following the retirement of the previous Headteacher.
