Head of Business and Finance - Central Team
Based at Halterworth Primary School
Full time – 37 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary – competitive based on experience
Due to our current CFOO stepping back after a long career in education we are in a position to re-evaluate our central team structures and provide an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the team and play a central role in shaping the Trust’s future.
Our Trust has grown steadily since 2020 when it opened with just two brand new schools. We now have eight academies based in and around Romsey, Winchester, Eastleigh and Southampton with a focus on primary and preschool education. Our unique relationship with the University of Winchester allows us to offer our children exciting, research led and creative ways to learn whilst providing excellent professional development opportunities for all our staff.
Our central team supports our family of schools across the functions of Finance, HR, Administration, SEND, Estates Management, Governance, Compliance and Health and Safety. We are a small team with one goal – to provide cost effective and efficient back office services to our academies, supporting staff to deliver the very best outcomes for all our pupils.
We are looking for someone to lead our Business and Finance functions providing direction, oversight and support across key service areas. The ability to identify and implement process improvements with a focus on automation and efficiency is key whilst understanding that behind every decision are real lives, families and communities. We need someone who can call upon their experience to lead and develop the Trust business functions and support Trust growth.

Admin Assistant & Personal Assistant to CEO
Due to the expansion of our Trust, we have a new and exciting opportunity for someone to join the central team supporting the work of our busy CEO. The successful candidate will provide dedicated administrative support to our CEO, ensuring her schedules run smoothly and efficiently. Day-to-day duties will include managing diaries, emails, organising meetings and preparing important documents. Organisational skills and attention to details will be key to helping our organisation operate seamlessly, all while maintaining the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
Our ideal candidate will
• Have previous experience of working in a school-based environment
• Be friendly, but professional and discreet maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Be unflappable (on the surface anyway!)
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be reliable, well organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident using a variety of digital systems including Microsoft Office and Teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to deliver information in a succinct way

Trust Finance Assistant - Central Team
Due to the recent expansion of the Trust, we have a new opportunity for a capable finance assistant to join our central team. The role is currently part time but there may be the opportunity to increase these hours in the future in line with Trust growth and development. Working alongside the Finance Manager, day-to-day duties will include processing of income and expenditure entries onto Xero, reconciliations, assisting with month end procedures and answering queries from both suppliers and colleagues.
The successful candidate will:

• Be able to maintain accuracy across a variety of tasks
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Be reliable and well organised
• Be confident using a variety of software packages
